We're excited to announce the latest updates in Sygnal Web Version 2.76.1, focused on strengthening document governance, security, staff document handling, and improving expiry logic for client files. This release introduces new configurations, UI enhancements, and back-end automation designed to improve operational efficiency and compliance.
Key Highlights in v2.76.1:
1. Document Security Enhancement
Client and staff documents are now automatically marked view-only after their expiry or review action date. Statuses include:
Active – Before expiry/review
Expired – After expiry/review
Retired – Manually marked as inactive
All expired/retired files are now locked from editing and tracked via an automated daily process.
2. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
We've strengthened login security for web users with enhanced 2FA configuration and validation flow:
Admin-controlled activation at both company and user levels
Intelligent multi-tenant handling
Configurable 30-day setup deferment
Email and security question backups available for recovery
2FA is web-only; mobile users keep on using OPT authentication if enabled.
3. Staff Document Management Now on Web
Staff documents are now accessible and manageable directly in Sygnal Web, with:
Role-based permissions (View / Manage)
New document expiry notifications
Custom document types and improved audit control
4. Improved Client File Expiry Logic
Client files now:
Automatically expire and become read-only
Are hidden from mobile view once expired/retired
Prompt confirmation before updates or retirements
Follow configurable email notification rules
