Sygnal has updated the Debtor/Agency Billing Report to work with the new Plan Manager and NDIS Billing Configuration.
NDIS reports can now be generated based on Plan/Self Managed or Agency Managed billing arrangements, making it easier to identify the correct clients, Plan Managers and billing contacts when generating reports.
1. What has changed in the Debtor/Agency Billing Report?
When NDIS is selected as the Client Type, a mandatory Billing Type field is displayed.
The available options are:
- Plan/Self Managed
- Agency Managed
The Billing Type determines which clients and billing information are included in the report.
The previous Custom Flag is no longer required when generating the report.
2. How do I generate a Plan Managed or Self Managed report?
Select:
Client Type → NDIS
Then select:
Billing Type → Plan/Self Managed
A Plan Manager field becomes available.
The Plan Manager selection is optional and allows multiple Plan Managers to be selected.
If no specific Plan Manager is selected, the system uses All and includes the applicable Plan Managed and Self Managed billing records.
3. What appears in the Plan Manager selection?
The Plan Manager dropdown displays the Plan Manager Company Name.
Users can select one or multiple Plan Managers.
Both active and inactive Plan Managers are available for reporting so historical billing information can still be generated.
Inactive Plan Managers are clearly identified with:
(Inactive)
For example:
ABC Plan Management (Inactive)
The available clients are also filtered according to the selected Subsidiary and Plan Manager.
4. How are Self Managed clients included?
Self Managed clients are included under the Plan/Self Managed Billing Type.
If All Plan Managers are selected, the report can include both:
- Plan Managed clients
- Self Managed clients
Because a Self Managed client does not have a Plan Manager, the Plan Manager Name in the downloaded report displays:
N/A
5. What information is shown in the downloaded Plan/Self Managed report?
The NDIS Plan/Self Managed report includes the relevant billing configuration details, including:
- Client Name
- Plan Manager Name
- Billing Contact Type
- Billing Contact Email
For a Plan Managed record:
- Client Name displays the Name entered in the client's Plan Managed billing configuration
- Plan Manager Name displays the selected Plan Manager Company Name
- Email displays the billing contact email entered in the Plan Managed configuration
- Billing Contact Type identifies the applicable billing arrangement
For a Self Managed record, the Plan Manager Name is displayed as N/A.
6. How do I generate an Agency Managed report?
Select:
Client Type → NDIS
Then select:
Billing Type → Agency Managed
A Plan Manager does not need to be selected for Agency Managed clients.
Agency Managed billing continues to use the client's configured NDIS Agency Managed billing contact.
The existing NDIS Agency Managed ZIP file and report generation process remain unchanged.
7. Are claim files available for all NDIS billing arrangements?
Yes.
Claim file generation remains available for the applicable NDIS billing arrangements.
This includes:
- Plan Managed
- Self Managed
- Agency Managed
The system uses the billing configuration associated with the client when preparing the applicable billing and claim information.
8. What has changed for Aged Care, iCare and Other/Private reports?
The report selection screen has been simplified for Aged Care, iCare and Other/Private client types.
Options that are no longer required have been removed from the report selection, including the previous:
- Debtor selection
- Agency Generation selection
- QTY-wise Generation selection
The existing underlying report generation and report formats for these client types remain unchanged.
9. Has the existing invoice or report calculation logic changed?
No.
The existing invoice tracking and report generation logic remain the same.
The changes mainly improve how billing arrangements are selected and how Plan Manager and billing contact information is identified in the generated reports.
